Prototype of coogeneration ORC plant thermal power 500 kW built in Đuro Đaković Kotlovi d.o.o. factory (25.06.2015.)

One of the most important goals of project „Improving safety and efficiency of cogeneration / trigeneration plants“ is developing of mathematical model of cogeneration ORC plant which will help making of modern control system. First experiences and knowledge about the work of ORC plants has been obtained in December 2014 when the project team members participated in the activation of a prototype ORC plant with thermal power of 500 kW and 100 kW of electrical power, which was developed by partner company Banko, and it was built in a factory Đuro Đaković Kotlovi d.o.o. The main activities of the project team from FESB were related to the development and testing of control system and loading of synchronous generator with permanent magnets which was not connected to the electrical network, but was loaded on a three-phase working load. During these tests first characteristics of the ORC plant were recorded as planned through project activity 1.2 (Industrial research of managing cogeneration / trigeneration ORC plants based on mathematical model). The picture shows a prototype of ORC plant during its last phase of construction.
